## How Refunds Work
Refunds always go to the same payment method used at checkout. You cannot change the destination once a refund is issued. A refund starts processing when your return is scanned at the warehouse OR when your order is cancelled before shipping. You'll receive an email confirmation when your refund is issued.
## Refund Timing After Return
Most returns are processed **5-7 days after drop-off** at the warehouse. After we process the return, your payment provider then needs additional time to post the money back to your account.
## Refund Timelines by Payment Method
### Card (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay)
- **Timeline:** 3-10 business days after we issue the refund
- **Note:** Some banks take up to 14 days
- **Expired/replaced card:** The refund still goes to the same bank account
- **Closed account:** Your bank will reroute the money or bounce it back to us
### PayPal
- **Timeline:** 2-5 business days
- **Note:** If you paid with a card through PayPal, it can take up to 30 days
- **Check both:** Your PayPal balance AND your linked card account
### Klarna
- **Timeline:** 1-5 business days
- **Update:** Invoices and installments update automatically in your Klarna app
- **Pro tip:** Once per order, you can register the return in Klarna to pause payment

### Partial Returns
When you return only some items, you'll receive a partial refund for just those items. If you're using Klarna, your remaining balance updates automatically.
## Backdated Refunds
Some banks show the refund on your **original transaction date**, not today. This is normal for some Visa, Mastercard, PayPal card, and Adyen transactions. Check your statement on the original purchase date, not just recent transactions.
## Cancelled or Expired Cards
